2026 AGM held at Glympton Estate, Woodstock.
Minutes of the 2026 Annual General Meeting held at Glympton Estate, Woodstock, Oxon, at 2.30 pm on Saturday 27th June
Apologies for Absence: Angus Stovold, Rob Bishop, Michael Poland, Chris Reed, John O’Hara & Simon Maiklem.
Present: 34 members of the club were in attendance.
Minutes from 2025 AGM: The minutes of the 2025 AGM had been circulated in advance of the meeting. The secretary asked for any comments, and there being none, the minutes were duly signed off by the Chairman, Tom Beadle
Matters Arising: It was agreed that there were no matters arising from the previous meeting.
Financial Report: This had been circulated in advance of the meeting, and the secretary invited any comments. Mike Spooner had observed that the opening bank balance on this year’s management accounts didn’t match the closing balance noted in the Minutes of the 2025 AGM. The secretary noted this and agreed to investigate after the meeting.
New Chairman & Vice Chairman: Having served the customary period of 2 years, Tom Beadle stepped down as Chairman and was replaced by the current Vice Chairman, Matt Stoker. Andrew Carter had been asked to serve as the new Vice Chairman and agreed to take on the role.
Future Events: The secretary announced plans to arrange a further Herd Walk in Kent, with full details to follow shortly.
Agricultural Shows: The club has been offered a space at the Newbury Show this September, and members were encouraged to visit.
There being no further business, the meeting was officially closed.
