The SEAA Herd Competition, which is held every other year.
This year, we are lucky to have Owen Tunney BVMS DBR MRCVS. Owen is a farm vet working in Cheshire. He has strong links within the industry and a keen interest in bovine fertility. He offers embryo transfer services alongside herd fertility monitoring. Owen is the owner of the Morpheus Aberdeen Angus Herd and is involved with the Aberdeen Angus Society.
Owen will be judging the competition throughout June and July, in between other commitments, and will be contacting herd owners directly as and when he would like to visit. If you have any known restrictions on when he can view your cattle, please let me know so I can ensure he is aware before he plans his routes.
The intention is to announce the results in August, followed by the presentation of awards at a herd walk yet to be arranged in September.
